Surveys can be deployed via website URL links, email invitations, manual data entry, Facebook deployment, Twitter tweet, etc. Defining an unique data collector for each response target helps to track the responses easily.

For each data collector definition, additional properties can be specified. For example, number of responses (quota) can be specified for each data collector definition. Any number of collectors can be defined for a survey; however only one manual collector can be defined each survey. Manaul data collector enables the survey administrator to enter the survey responses into the system. If you are conducting telephone surveys or paper based surveys, this feature would be useful.
