Setting Up Custom Data Fields for a List

A subscription list can include Custom Data fields which can be used for list segmentation / target marketing. The custom fields have to be defined before adding any data to the list. The custom fields can contain Alphanumeric (text) data, List of values, Numeric values (numbers) or Dates. For numeric fields, minimum and maximum values can be specified so that the data can be restricted within the limits set. The list of values can be input as a string of values separated by tilde. Based on the type of the custom field, data will be validated during the manual input or import process.
