| LeadPro Email
Marketing
offers a comprehensive Event Triggered Email
feature. Drip Emails can be setup and sent using
this event triggered email feature. Drip emails are also
known as Auto Responders; though auto-responders
generally refer to firing up emails instantly based on
an event. For example, when a contact or
subscriber signup for a list, an email can be sent
immediately welcoming the customer and providing some
basic information. Auto responder is in-built into the
LeadPro Email Marketing List Sign-up module. Drip
Emails
Drip emails are essentially simple event triggered
emails. Drip emails are follow-up emails sent after a
contact signs-up to a list in a sequence after certain
number of days. An example would be:
- Send an introduction email broadcast (or
campaign) on 3rd day after sign-up
- Send 2nd email message with more product details
after 5 days from the first email (or 8 days from
sign-up)
- Send 3rd email message with a teaser offer after
7 days from the 2nd email (i.e. 15 days after
sign-up)
- Send 4th email message with a deadline for a
special offer or purchase after 5 days from 3rd
message.
Once the messages are set up and the schedule is
defined, the system will automatically send the
respective email message based on the number of days
from sign-up. There is no need for human intervention.
In the above example, Number of Days from Sign-up Date
is the trigger.
Event Triggered Emails
Event Triggered Email feature in LeadPro provides
much more functionality. Any event or condition or a
combination of both can be used to trigger the emails.
For example the properties of Subscriber Profile (such
as Income, Age group, and Product preference) can be
used in the trigger conditions.
Similarly, the campaign activity or subscriber
behavior (such as Last Click, Last Email Open, and Last
Campaign / Email) can be used in the condition of the
trigger.
In LeadPro a drip email
message is created as a drip campaign. This process is
similar to creating other email campaigns. Once the drip
campaigns are defined, the same can be associated to the
trigger sequences. Hence all the features available for
an email campaign can used in the drip or event
triggered emails also.
Tracking
Tracking the drip or event triggered emails is no
different than tracking of a regular email campaign. The
campaign reports can be used to track the email opens,
click thru URLs and opt-out activities. |
